We’re almost there!
Slander has become the new standard. I’ve seen more slanderous posts and ads against Bill Hunt than I can count. Maybe this means whatever he’s doing is working. Either way, his name is on everyones mind, which brings up the old adage ”There’s no such thing as bad publicity”. So far we know that Hutchens is not who we want running Orange County. She’s trampled on our rights, and spat in our faces. So, this leaves us with Hunter and Hunt.
Early on I emailed Hunt to get his stance on CCW issuance. I was quickly greeted with a return email outlining Hunt’s CCW policy that he planned to put in place. I was somewhat shocked to see that Hunt himself actually took the time to respond personally to my email. So, I quickly emailed Hunter once he announced that he was running for Sheriff as well. I received several bounced emails, and finally I was assured the email problem was fixed. Since then I’ve sent several emails asking for clarification on Hunter’s CCW issuance stance, and I’ve yet to receive one response from anyone from his campaign.
Clearly this shows he doesn’t care, at least to me it does. Hunter can run a multi-million dollar department (Oh, wait, he’s only the assistant…), or at least he says he does, but he can’t even get his email working for his campaign. And once it is working, he can’t respond to his constituents. The bad part of all this is I live in the city in which he’s currently the Assistant Chief of Police Services. This just leaves a bad taste in my mouth as I’d expect to get some priority seeing as I’m only a few blocks from his station and could be a good supporter of his.
Then we have Hunter on camera saying that he currently supports the California system of “May Issue”. The “May Issue” stance is the worst, discriminating, wrong stance there can be. Hunter will not issue for “personal protection” reasons as Hunt has said he will. So why vote for Hunter if he’s not going to change the discriminating CCW issuance system?
There’s also the matter of fund raising. So far Hunt has raised twice as much money as Hunter. Hunt has also had to contribute $0 of his own to the campaign, whereas Hunter and Hutchens had to both subsidize their campaigns with their own money and in Hutchens case, to the tune of almost $100k. I guess this means people aren’t interested in support Hunter or Hutchens monetarily.
Just remember, Hunt has more endorsements from more agencies, organizations, and people than either of the other two candidates running. He’s an honest man that’s always stood up for the right way. Let’s make a change and vote in Hunt!
